Mr. Bas Verhoeven
Bas Verhoeven received his M.SC. degree in Power Engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology. After joining KEMA in 1991, he worked as a R&D specialist on digital protection for power networks. From 1995, he worked as a consultant on international projects in the power sector. In 2000, he was appointed as manager of KEMA’s High Voltage Laboratory followed by the appointment as Director of KEMA High-Power Laboratory and High-Voltage Laboratory. Mr. Verhoeven now holds the position of Director for Business Development and Innovation for KEMA Laboratories. He is a member of the Board of the NEC (Dutch IEC), Cigré and member of the management committee of the Short Circuit Test Liaison (STL). He has authored numerous papers on testing and certification of power components.
