Hardev Juj has been a leader in the electric industry for over 35 years. He has been on various Boards and Executive Teams. He has been on the Northwest Power Pool Board since 1996 and has been the chair of the Board for six years. He has been on the Industry Advisor Board (IAB) for the University of Washington since 1985. He has been part of Power Professorship at the Washington State University. He has chaired several technical committees and represented the Federal Sector power marketing agencies in North American Reliability Corporation (NERC).
He received his master’s degree in electrical engineering from Washington State University in 1981 and immediately started working at Tacoma Power, where he served in different technical and management positions for 20 years. He then moved to Seattle City Light as the Director of T&D until 2007. In 2007, Mr. Juj went to work for Bonneville Power Administration to be responsible for transmission system. From 2009 to 2015 he took the responsibility for system planning and asset management and he recently retired as Chief Engineer and Vice President. Mr. Juj is a senior member of Power Energy Society and has been appointed to Board as a Member-at-Large responsible for Standards.
